Semi-automatic bollards

Manually retractable bollards are used for building entrances where only a limited number of movements are expected. This is because the bollard cannot be operated directly from the vehicle. Therefore, no external control unit is required.

Automatic bollards, on the other hand, require a control unit so that they can be controlled by means of an operating column or other operating equipment. This type of bollard is used for access roads with a high frequency of passage.

Lowering methods for semi-automatic bollards

• Gas pressure spring
  After unlocking, the bollards can be lowered and raised manually with light pressure.
• Manual hydraulic pump
  After unlocking, the bollard is lowered and raised using a cordless screwdriver.

The advantage of manual hydraulic pumps over gas spring drives is that they are less susceptible to faults and have a longer service life – especially if the bollards are only moved very rarely.
