Our history

How it all began

It has been 25 years since our CEO Francis Seijas founded Consel Autocontrol GmbH. In the early years, this was more of a hobby, as Francis Seijas was most recently employed in a management position at SBB.

The decision

In 2011, however, he put his money where his mouth was: he quit his job, converted his company into a stock corporation, and put all his eggs in Consel’s basket. From then on, things went steeply upwards. In the early years, Consel Group AG was primarily an integrator of third-party products. But as a passionate engineer, Francis Seijas soon began to improve existing products and develop his own.

Our own products

The QUIVO line of posts was followed by the company’s own bollard series under the name urbanstar and only a short time later by the development of the ARMIS ONE mobile vehicle barrier – which now provides protection against vehicle attacks in numerous European cities.

Innovative strength

It is precisely this innovative strength that has enabled the company to grow so successfully in recent years. Because standard solutions often do not fit – special solutions are required. The engineering team around Francis Seijas has developed countless customized solutions for renowned customers such as the Swiss Confederation, SBB, museums, banks, industrial sites, embassies and many more.

Expansion

With the establishment of Consel Protec in 2022, Consel Group is now going one step further: building its own production facility in Croatia.
