In September 2024, the World Cycling and Para-Cycling Road World Championships took place in Zurich – an event that not only delighted sports fans, but was also the subject of controversy. The 9-day event in the heart of Zurich was viewed critically by the people of Zurich – the numerous road closures and traffic diversions led to resentment.
The use of our mobile vehicle safety barrier ARMIS ONE on Sechseläutenplatz and in the fan zones was the main topic of discussion on social media: can emergency vehicles pass through without delay in an emergency? Yes, they can.
Mobile vehicle safety barrier – simply foldable
The ARMIS ONE barrier segments can be lowered and raised again manually in just a few seconds. This not only ensured reliable protection of racing drivers and fans from vehicle attacks, but also quick access for emergency vehicles.
5 venues – 5 fan zones – 53 races – 66 world championship titles – 75 participating countries – 1300 drivers – 1500 volunteers
We are proud to have made an important contribution to the safety of the racers and spectators with our mobile vehicle barriers.
