Bollard System for the Spange Netziboden in Pratteln
A new road, clear rules — and bollards that quietly make sure those rules are followed.
The Spange Netziboden in Pratteln isn’t your typical road. This newly built bypass in the canton of Basel-Land is reserved strictly for public transport and road maintenance vehicles. No unauthorized traffic is supposed to get through — and it needs to work without barriers, without manual controls, and without compromise.
So the real question was: how do you make sure only the right vehicles pass, reliably and automatically, without anyone having to step in?

Step by step to a fully operational system
The solution is a fully automated bollard system featuring retractable urbanstar bollards.
At the core of it all are induction loops and smart control units that detect authorized vehicles and lower the bollards automatically — no buttons, no cards, no driver interaction required.
Installation, setup, and handover The system arrives preconfigured. On site, service technicians handle the cabling, install the masts, and set up the control cabinet. Once everything is tested and running smoothly, the system is handed over to the client. From the first dig to a fully operational setup, the entire installation takes just twelve person-days.
